Microblading, Nano Brows, Ombre / Powder Brows and Combination Brows
Healthy, balanced skin means better pigment retention, smoother healing and longer-lasting, natural-looking brows.
What to avoid before your appointment
- No caffeine (coffee, tea, energy drinks): 24 hours before. Caffeine can make the skin more sensitive and increase bleeding, which can push pigment out.
- No alcohol: 24 hours before. Alcohol thins the blood, which means more bleeding during your appointment and less pigment retention.
- No aspirin, ibuprofen or fish oils: 24 hours before. These also thin the blood and can affect healing. If they are prescribed, please check with your doctor first.
- No retinol, AHAs, BHAs or strong exfoliants: 1 week before. These thin the skin, making it more fragile and sensitive during treatment.
- No chemical peels or microdermabrasion: 1 to 2 weeks before. These over-exfoliate and make the skin too delicate for pigment to implant properly.
- No sunbeds or heavy sun exposure: 1 week before. Overexposed skin is more prone to damage and poor pigment retention.
What to do instead
- Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water in the days leading up. Hydrated skin heals more evenly.
- Moisturise daily. Soft, nourished skin holds pigment better and heals beautifully.
- Protect your skin. Avoid sunburn, use SPF and keep the brow area calm before treatment.
- Rest up. A good night's sleep before your appointment helps your skin and body heal better.
Lip Blush
To ensure you have the best healed results, here are some important steps to follow.
- Hydrate your lips well with regular lip balm application. A light exfoliation 48 hours before is beneficial to remove any dry skin.
- If you are prone to cold sores, please take an anti-viral medication (Acyclovir / Zovirax) 2 to 3 days before, to prevent an outbreak before or after your treatment.
- Avoid blood thinners such as caffeine, alcohol, fish oils and aspirin / ibuprofen for 72 hours before your procedure, as these can impact healing and pigment retention.
HD Brows, HD BrowStay and HD Brow Sculpt
A few simple steps beforehand help us give you the best possible shape and tint.
What to avoid before your appointment
- No waxing, threading, plucking or trimming your brows: 2 weeks before. We need enough natural hair to map, shape and tint, so please leave your brows alone until your appointment.
- No retinol, AHAs, BHAs or strong exfoliants on the brow area: 1 week before. These thin the skin, making it more sensitive and more likely to react to waxing and tinting.
- No sunbeds, sunburn or fake tan on the brow area: 1 week before. Sun-exposed or sensitive skin is more prone to irritation during treatment.
- No brow make-up or oily products on the day. Please arrive with clean, bare brows so the tint and wax can work properly.
What to do instead
- Complete your patch test. If you have been asked to have one, please make sure it is done at least 48 hours before your appointment.
- Moisturise daily. Calm, nourished skin is happier skin.
- Protect your skin. Use SPF and keep the brow area calm before treatment.
Laser Tattoo Removal and SPMU Brow Removal
Following this prep means less trauma to your skin, more comfort during your treatment and the best chance of your skin healing beautifully.
What to avoid before your appointment
- No sunbeds, heavy sun exposure or fake tan: 4 weeks before. Laser energy is attracted to pigment. Sun-exposed or tanned skin contains more melanin, which increases the risk of burns, blisters and pigmentation. If you fake tan, avoid the area to be treated.
- No caffeine (coffee, tea, energy drinks) or alcohol: 72 hours before. Caffeine can make the skin more sensitive and increase bleeding. Alcohol thins the blood, which increases inflammation, swelling, bruising and slower healing.
- No aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oils or vitamin E: 72 hours before. These also thin the blood and can affect healing. If they are prescribed, please check with your doctor first.
- No retinol, AHAs, BHAs or strong exfoliants: 2 weeks before. These thin the skin, making it more fragile and sensitive, which increases the risk of burns, delayed healing or post-inflammatory pigmentation.
- No chemical peels or microdermabrasion: 2 weeks before. These over-exfoliate and make the skin too delicate.
- No waxing the area to be treated: 72 hours before. This can cause thinner skin and sensitivity.
What to do instead
- Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water in the days leading up. Hydrated skin heals more evenly.
- Moisturise daily. Soft, nourished skin will heal beautifully.
- Protect your skin. Avoid sunburn, use SPF50 on the treatment area and keep the area calm before treatment.
- Rest up. A good night's sleep before your appointment helps your skin and body heal better.
